This is a great product, made of tough plastic… I bought it to install on the backyard playset that I had purchased for my 3 year old grandson, so that he could look in his own backyard across the street.Product review: It is a non-metal toy, but it is lightweight and works well in tiny hands. You will need a solid 2-3 inch installation location that can take two screws. Usually it could be achieved with a 4 x 4”, if you have it in your play set. We did not have such luck at the location that we wanted to install it at. So I had to install couple of small 2 x 4” pieces of wood to create such a location, no big deal, it took only couple of additional screws. The telescope is easily maneuverable for children and they do love it. And it brings things just close enough to excite them. I would highly recommend this telescope, even if you only have a deck. Of course, I also suggest that you buy a nautical wheel, a pirate flag and a bell to have the whole pirate ship paraphernalia. :-)
