I bought a couple of chairs like this from Hatteras for a lower price in 2004, and they've been amazing. I didn't take great care of them, leaving them outside all year round in harsh conditions, and only after 12 years did the fabric on one start to fail, with the other still going strong. In the meantime I've purchased a couple of other types of cheaper hammock chairs, but they don't compare in comfort and quality. They all collapse around you or push your neck forward, and aren't comfortable to sit in for long periods like the Hatteras. So I finally bit the bullet and bought this, knowing it will last forever if I take care of it and will remain the prized seat on my deck. It's just as comfortable as my old ones, if not more, and seems of similar quality.
