It has a tie at the back of the neck - a nice feature.I'm 5"4 and 145lbs. I went with the medium and the only place it was tight was just slightly under the arm pits. The fabric was super comfortable with a nice stretch to it. It was slightly see through but nothing the right undergarments couldn't fix. Wear with a petticoat for the right look.I wanted to go up a size in this dress but it wasn’t available but the xlarge did it’s job. A petticoat is not a bad idea but to wear without (like I did) will not be a disappointment. Wore to a mother & daughter tea and my daughter got the same dress. Very stretchy which is why I wasn’t too disappointed with the xlarge. Fell right to the middle of my knees with heels onVery cute dress! Fits as expected. The dress fits good if I went up a size it would have been too big. I generally like my dresses especially around the bust to be a tad more lose. Either way it a touch of elegance to.First off, I hardly ever take the time to review things and I truly purchase from Amazon ALL the time. But I just have to comment on this dress because it was such a welcome, positive surprise. I’m always skeptical on sizing when I purchase clothes that are Made in China, which is very rare. In American sizing I wear a size 6...I’m 5’ 7+” tall and about 125-130 pounds. I knew that I was only going to wear this dress once for a 50’s party that I’m invited to so I wasn’t too worried about having a perfect fit...a little too big was much better than too small. (I didn’t want to have to return and reorder.) So, according to their included sizing chart, I ordered a Large. I probably could have gotten a Medium but I always have to be aware of the chest size. The Large fits about perfect on the top and I’m afraid the Medium would have been too snug in the bust area. However the fabric does stretch and give a bit. Speaking of the fabric, it is Very nice. Not the normal cheapy, ravely stuff I was expecting. All the seams are double stitched and finished, with an invisible zipper. The color I got says pink and it is a beautiful blush pink color, not like a light pink carnation color. (It’s mostly like the color in the middle photo.) I will be adding my own full, tulle slips underneath to finish the look. The back neck area looks adorable with the tied neckline and not too low in the back so my bra strap does not show. It does come pretty wrinkled but I’m assuming that my Steamer will remedy that problem. If not I will take it to the Dry Cleaners to press only. I noticed that the care instruction states: Hand Wash Only and Low Iron but like I said earlier, I’ll only be wearing it once. If they had anything else I was interested in I wouldn't hesitate to order from Gowntown again for I now know the quality in stitching and fabric, it provides. It also came Very quickly with my Amazon Prime...not the normal three week+ turn around when you order things from China. This is a gorgeous dress! For reference, I am 5'4'', 135 pounds, and small chested. I got a medium and it fit like a glove. It came down to my upper calve, which I personally like. My only complaint is that the fabric is.... weird. It feels very much like a stiff swimsuit and doesn't breathe very well. Still keeping it though! I will just have to wear it on cooler days.I returned my original dress because the color was too light and I felt heavier seeing myself in it. I opted for this red and black polka dot dress to hopefull, visually diminish a bit of my size. The material is stretchy which is good as the fit in the bodice is snug. I am 6'2" and 195 pounds. Normally I wear a size 16 or XL but I purchased a 3x based on the provided size chart. The fabric may be a bit heavy, but I only plan to wear this for a few hours at a 50's party. The fabric ironed up well. The dress does need a tule petticoat to give the skirt some width. All of my height is in my legs and the skirt just hits me at my knees - not too bad for me. On a shorter woman, the skirt will probably fall about mid shin.Nice fabric and well tailored for an accurate fit
